About
About This Space
The M.E. Lane is a space shaped by reflection, creativity, and intentional living. It was created for people navigating full lives while still feeling the pull to create, reflect, and move thoughtfully toward what matters most.

The writing here explores creativity as a lifelong practice, not as something reserved for a season of youth or abundance of time, but as something that evolves alongside responsibility, change, and growth. It is rooted in lived experience, cultural memory, and the belief that there is still time to move with care and purpose.
This space welcomes those who value slowing down enough to notice their inner life. Those who return to ideas that linger. Those who believe reflection is not passive, but an essential part of becoming.

Each piece is written as an invitation. Not to arrive at answers quickly, but to sit with questions honestly and move forward with intention.

About Me
I’m Michelle Elaine Farley, a writer, filmmaker, and creative drawn to the quieter truths of everyday life. I am a wife, a mother, and a woman learning how to stay connected to creativity while holding the responsibilities that come with a full life.

My work spans reflective writing, children’s books, and film. Across all of it, I return to storytelling as a way to make meaning, honor experience, and explore what it looks like to keep creating as life expands.

The name The M.E. Lane carries personal meaning. M.E. reflects my initials, Michelle Elaine. The lane is a reminder to stay rooted in my own way of creating and becoming, without comparison or performance.

This space reflects that commitment. Writing honestly. Moving deliberately. And trusting that creativity deepens rather than disappears over time.
