What happens after the thing you’ve been praying for starts becoming real? On Day 54 of making CHOSEN, we’re officially greenlit with more than $12,000 raised. Now come the audition tapes, production meetings, endless details, and the reality of making a film while still working, writing, running businesses, and living a whole life. Somewhere in the overwhelm, I keep reminding myself: this is what I prayed for.

Yesterday I turned 45. Not dreading it; just receiving everything it encompasses. Because 45 isn't just an age. It's a collection of versions of yourself, and somehow, all of them arrive together.

Dreaming gets harder. Not because we lose imagination, but because we gain context. We know the cost now.

That longing used to make me uncomfortable. Somewhere along the way, humility got tangled up with pretending you do not want the big thing, the loud thing, the shiny thing. But ambition, when it is rooted in purpose, is not arrogance. It is honesty.

Thirteen years of marriage is symbolized by lace—a material known for its intricate beauty, and the kind of care it takes to last. And maybe that’s what makes this season feel so significant: I’ve learned that the same patience, creativity, and faith it takes to nurture a relationship… is what it takes to nurture a dream.

I used to tuck my victories into smaller and smaller pockets, worried that joy would weigh too heavy in the wrong hands.
